Every child deserves the chance to learn.
One of the challenges that is faced by newly resettled youths and children is adjusting to the Canadian education system.
Due to the different academic system back in their home country, Afghan immigrants and newcomers need assistance overcoming
academic barriers and cultural challenges that they face when they arrive in Canada. To address these problems,
we would like to launch a tutoring program to help students prevail the challenges, as well as create a safe space for them
to help them with their overall metal well being and confidence.
For this program we will target that attend intermediate school which will be 8th and 7th grades. We aim to help newcomer school students
with Math which will be taught by our highly competent volunteer team members. We also welcome any other individual that wants to get ahead in their school
topics and are eager to boost their knowledge in math. Participant will also receive support to strengthen subject comprehension, boost confidence,
and build important learning skills so that they can achieve a good academic standing and Positive attitude toward school in general so that they can achieve their full potential.
